Beginning July 8, 2019, excavation will begin in the N. Pearl Street and Allen Street intersection. The first layer of asphalt is poured between Main Street and N. Pearl Street. While concrete is being poured in this first block, excavation of the N. Pearl Street intersection will take place to expedite the construction process. During this time, N. Pearl Street will become a two-way street with access from Virginia Street on the south leg and North Street on the north leg.
This section of the project will take approximately 4 weeks. The blocks from Main Street to N. Pearl Street and from N. Pearl Street to Franklin Street will remain closed. Schedules are subject to change and will be updated accordingly.
