Full reconstruction is set to begin on Allen Street within the block from Main Street to N. Pearl Street beginning this week (5/20/19). The work includes the replacement of the roadway, sidewalk, street lighting, and various additional features. During this time, Allen Street will remain closed to vehicular traffic from Main Street to N. Pearl Street. There will also be periods of time when sidewalks and building entrances are temporarily closed in order to pour the concrete sidewalks.
This phase is expected to take approximately 2 to 3 months. Schedules are subject to change and will be updated accordingly.
