The installation of the sewer main will begin in the block from Main Street to N. Pearl Street as the next phase of construction. There will be some intermittent installation of fire hydrants and sewer manholes as well during this phase.
Road closures during the sewer main construction will continue along Allen Street as work progresses (similar to the water line work phasing) and detour routes will be updated accordingly. Full reconstruction will begin after the sewer main work has been completed.
The first task in the sewer work phase will involve closing the Allen Street and N. Pearl Street intersection. N. Pearl Street will be converted from one-way southbound to two-way vehicular traffic during various times and sections beginning April 17, 2019. No parking will be allowed on the east side of N. Pearl Street during this time.
